It's Time to
Market Our Info Products
I've enjoyed delivering all kinds of
juicy tidbits on information product and ebook publishing, but
you know in a newsletter format, we can only scratch the
surface. Today, we're going to finish up with some quick
marketing tips.
Top 5
Information Product Marketing Tips
1. Sales
Copy! It doesn't matter how good your product is, if
you don't get your customer excited about your product, she
isn't going to buy it.
If you browse the
ClickBank Marketplace, you'll see that most of the products
sold there use a "traditional" sales letter that explains all the pertinent details. This
format has been proven to sell and that's why people use it. It
also makes it easier to track your conversion rate (number of
visitors per sale).
Still, I think it's good to explore
different sales copy options and see what works best for your
target market. I highly recommend the
well-rounded resource by Joe Robson and Ken Evoy. You can read
my
Make Your Words Sell Review.
2. Pay per Click Search Engines: Google AdWords is my favorite.
It is the most user-friendly and will bring you plenty of
targeted traffic.

doesn't cost you a thing!
3. Search
Engine Optimization: With a new website, getting good
search engine rankings is a long term plan, but a necessity
nonetheless. Who can argue with tons of free targeted traffic?

search engines, check out Michael Wong's

that I am able to generate thousands of visitors to my websites
each and every day.
4. Affiliate Program & Joint
Ventures: Get other people to sell your products for
you and offer a commission in return. I personally use a program
called QuickPayPro to manage all my digital downloads, my
affiliates and customer mailing lists through unlimited
autoresponders. Take a look at my
QuickPayPro review if you'd like to check it out.
5. Stay in Contact with Your
Prospects and Customers: First of all, you need a
back up response if people don't buy from you. Collect their
email address by offering them an enticing subscription to your
newsletter.
And if they do buy, keep in touch
with your customers. Set up an autoresponder to follow up on
their purchases and even give them little tips along the way
about how to use your products. Oh yeah...and don't forget to
include a plug for additional products now and then. Just
remember to be informative most of the time and sell only a
little bit of the time. :)
Voila! Your crash course in
information product marketing is complete. I hope you've been
able to get some good ideas on how to enter the lucrative world
of information products. You're a smart cookie and people are
dying to benefit from your knowledge. |
