Another Inconvenient Truth

by Alice Seba on June 16, 2010

Tonight my 8 year old told me he didn’t think it was fair that adults always give kids a hard time for not listen to adults…when adults don’t listen to what kids have to say.

His example:

“You can tell an adult that you got a detention and the adult will say that’s nice. You can also tell an adult that you won a prize and they’ll say that’s too bad.”

He said if adults don’t really pay attention, how can kids be expected to?

Hmmm…I wasn’t sure what to say, so I just pretended I didn’t hear him. ;-)
